DESKi, “learn” in Breton, is a young and innovative company, combining a solid expertise in both echography and artificial intelligence. 

Our vision is to unleash access to cardiac care by spreading ultrasound expertise.


After 4 years of research, we developed real-time AI-driven algorithms able to guide operators performing cardiac ultrasound exams. 

Deski is now building HeartFocus to empower any healthcare professional to accurately perform a cardiac ultrasound exam and support the interpretation of the acquired US images. 


Having secured its financing, DESKi will start commercialized in 2024 after the attainment of FDA and CE certification.


As a Lead Data Scientist, your mission will be to improve our guidance algorithms and develop new models, notably for automatic echocardiography analysis (classification/segmentation/detection). You will work closely with software developers, researchers, and clinicians to implement models that can be integrated into our medical devices. You will join us to:

  • Lead the R&D team ( 2 data scientists + 1 full-stack)  

  • Design ML pipelines from raw data to certified and validated results

  • Manage research projects, including project scoping, literature review, data collection, resource allocation, timeline management, and risk mitigation

  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences

  • Review most recent publications to improve our stack and design new DL pipelines dedicated to ultrasound video analysis

  • Promoting research work through communication and scientific publication


Required skills:

  • Strong background in ML/DL applied to medical imaging(image classification, segmentation, or detection) and with Deep learning frameworks (ideally Tensorflow/Keras)

  • Project management skills, with the ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with other departments and clinicians 

  • Communication and presentation skills

  • Previous publications in ML/DL

  • Proficiency in English

Desired skills:

  • Experience with transformers and DL for videos

  • Experience with git/agile development

  • Medical Background
